Rassalon's Guide To Cultural Contribution: (photos to be added)
Through adventure quests you'll obtain discovery cards for either items or places you've discovered. Many of these can be converted into an ornament that you can display in your quarters (home) by going to a craftsman in a specific town and for a small fee and puts it into your inventory as an item. See this link for places to make the ornament from your discovery card: uwodbmirror.ivyro.net/eg/main.php?id=85000064 - You may not have known but many of these potential display ornaments made from your discoveries can actually be displayed at the Louve Museum in Paris. Visit the Museum in Paris from Marsailles via carriage ride.
When you go the Museum there are different galleries that can be selected. The main one you walk into is usually full but if you talk to one of the staff they can let you choose a different gallery to display your ornament in as each nation has a gallery and then there are some generic others. The national ones and the items displayed contribute to the "cultural trends" of that nation.
When you enter a gallery there are open spots you can "click on" to display your ornament. Before any of this first you'll need to see if any of the discoveries you've made can be displayed in the Museum. You can visit this link: uwodbmirror.ivyro.net/eg/main.php?id=85000028 for a list of items the museum will allow to be displayed. Most of the discoveries accepted are of course "outside" of Europe although quite a few Egyptian items are welcomed including the mask of Tutankhaman which is a 5-star display item that I did as my first display.
The higher the discovery the more culture points it is worth. Each day you log in that your item is displayed you earn culture points that can be seen under your character screen. You don't lose the item/ornament and no one else can take it. After 7 days you can pick it back up for free. If you need it sooner you pay a 200k penalty for early retrieval.
So why do this adventurer?
Normally you are only allowed to run 1 quest (any star) at a time. By building cultural contribution you can now take on a 2nd quest at the same time and the higher your contribution level the higher the star level of the quest you can take on. Multi-questing is a great way to speed up adventuring which is one of the slowest things to level in UWO.
